Daniel Winkler was gracious enough to allow me time
to test for the Journeyman Performance and Forging
phase. He allowed me to use his shop, anvil, forge,
and especially his time. Kadance and the family went
with me to Boone, NC for the trip and we all were pretty
tired......by the end of the journey......But it was all worth
it.... Thanks Daniel Winkler!!!!!

He first went over the blades I brought with me and
gave me insight on what they may be judging on at the
Blade Show.... and then we got a shop tour.

Daniel Winkler had me forge two blades..... a hidden
tang and a full tang..... I was very nervous........it is
hard to forge with other peoples tools when you are
used to yours....

Well, I gotter Done..... and then onto the next part.....

I gotta say that the powerhammer (pneumatic) hit pretty
hard and took a little to get used to since I am familiar
to the 25 lb little giant.....

Rope cutting the 2X4 test passed
with no problems .......

My wife and our son.....and the cat
that waited at home....Swirley!!!!

The bend test passed with flying colors
and Mr Winkler signed the papers...

I PASSED!!!!!
